Give the Gift of Literacy

If you're here, you've probably seen what untreated dyslexia can cost a child. Lost confidence, closed doors, a struggle that follows them into adulthood. Your generous donation changes that.

See the Impact

Millions of children in the U.S. struggle with dyslexia and other reading disabilities. Left unsupported, that struggle doesn't stay in the classroom. It follows a child into adulthood, shaping their confidence, their opportunities, and how they see themselves. Public school reading programs too often fall short. Private therapy can help, but for low-income families, the cost puts it out of reach.

The Dyslexia Services Foundation exists to close that gap. Donate today, and give another child the chance to read with confidence. Read what that difference has meant for families like yours below.

Edmond, age 12
Duration of scholarship: 52 sessions

"A number of circumstances lead to us reaching out to DSF for assistance with a 12 year old who was functionally illiterate. Individual reading therapy is something that seemed completely out of reach for our family due to financial reasons. We are shocked and in awe at the generosity of donors who are able to make such a highly efficacious program available to us!"

"Through the amazing generosity of donors, a very thoughtfully laid out reading therapy program, and a very professional, patient, yet demanding therapist, our now 13 year old has grown considerably in his self confidence. He is now able to navigate life with the indispensable skill of reading. His reading skills have grown exponentially over the past 10 months, as evidenced at home, school, and in his daily life. Thank you, DSF!”

Garrick, age 11
Duration of scholarship: 56 sessions

"I am pleased to inform you Garrick has dramatically improved in his academics and enjoying school. There are no words to express my deepest gratitude for the DSF-funded therapy help my son Garrick received. Within a year's time he made a dramatic impact in his academics and continues to pass his classes. Which would not have been possible without the help of the DSF-funded therapy. The in school dyslexia program was not providing any improvement. The one-on-one care from DSF was exactly what he needed to improve his academic quality."

Abel, age 7
Duration of scholarship: 16 sessions

"His reading and writing grew leaps and bounds because of the intervention therapy provided! DSF funded therapy was a definite blessing for us; we would not have been able to afford it without financial assistance. This therapy has made a world of difference for my son and we are very grateful!"

Camden, age 9
Duration of scholarship: 25 sessions

"He is now above grade level and no longer struggles with school. Being able to receive funding made a huge impact on our family. We would not have been able to get him any intervention without it."

Mark, age 10
Duration of scholarship: 32 sessions

When we checked back with him at age 15, Mark said this, "I am a freshman [in High School], taking advanced and honors classes. I made the honor roll this year, even while playing soccer and baseball! I also discovered I enjoy reading mysteries."

Mark's mother shared this, "The DSF made it possible for my son to climb out of the brambles of frustration surrounding reading. Negativity touched all aspects of education for Mark, before reading therapy. Under the leadership of his reading specialist and through hard work and discipline, he gained decoding skills he uses even today. The biggest blessings were he gained confidence, he began to enjoy reading (!), and was no longer falling behind in his school reading. This changed his life dramatically. We are forever grateful!"

Michael, age 9
Duration of scholarship: 112 sessions

"My son started on a kindergarten level and now thanks to the program and the scholarship my son is on a 3rd grade reading level. If it wasn't for the scholarship my son would not be where he is now. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts."

Olivia, age 8
Duration of scholarship: 20 sessions

"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable support provided by the Dyslexia Services Foundation. My daughter Olivia, received a scholarship that allows her to receive Lexercise online reading therapy for 20 weeks.

"In just 17 weeks of Lexercise Professional Therapy, Olivia has achieved remarkable progress in her passage reading. She has advanced by 2 reading levels since her initial assessment, which is truly remarkable. The consistent practice and repetition within the program have significantly boosted Olivia’s confidence. Your unwavering support has made a tangible difference, and we are witnessing the positive impact firsthand."
